PLUMBING TIPS

PLUMBING:

It sounds simple, and it is, but you have to have enough knowledge, the right tools, and the right parts.

One of the biggest mistakes people make is to get help from a neighbor, the brother, or a friend!

``A PENNY SAVED IS A DOLLAR SPENT``

What I mean by this is: you don't want to spend on a plumber because you think it is not going to be cheap, after trying for many hours, sometimes for days, and after spending money on parts, plus the labor of the helper, and the problem is not solved, then ``you have to call the plumber`` anyway. Now your cost will be what you already spent plus the plumber's fee and parts.

Our best tip is: Call the plumber, call around, and you will find a company that will come and give you a free estimate of what it will cost to fix it right the first time.

HERE IS A LIST OF EVERYTHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH PLUMBING:

Hot & Cold water lines, Water Service (from the water meter to the house), Water Heaters (either Natural Gas, Propane, or Electric), Sewer Lines (from the house to the city main), Drain Lines (any pipes inside the house that carry the dirty water out to the main sewer), Faucets, Showers, Tubs, Toilets, Bidets, Gas Lines, the list can go on and on. I hope you got my point!

HOW TO SAVE MONEY ON A SERVICE CALL?

Usually a service call is needed because of a lack of service or maintenance on the plumbing system.

GARBAGE DISPOSAL:

To keep the blades sharp and the disposal clean: Pour 3 trays of ice in the sink with cold water running, turn the disposal on, and push the ice into the disposal with a wood spoon, without putting the spoon into the disposal, that will keep the blades clean and sharp. Do this once every 3 months.

WHAT NOT TO PUT INTO THE DISPOSAL:

Spaghetti, Celery, Potato Peels, Carrot Peels, or too much food at once. Remember to keep the water running while disposal is on (Hot water will be better)

Don’t wait until your disposal looks like this!

LEAKING FAUCETS:

The sooner you get it fixed, the cheaper it will be. Otherwise, you may need to replace it.

CONSTANT RUNNING WATER:

Must plumbing fixtures have an angle stop (shut off valve) underneath it. If you shut off that valve, that will stop the water waste, until it is fixed. ``No need for emergency call``
I hope all these information was helpful.
If you have questions, please don’t hesitate to call. We will be very happy to help you!

Thank You!
